Overview
Pay range (based on experience): $17.00-$18.50 per hour
1 PT (Weekends & Wednesdays)
Our drivers help our residents get out and about in their community. Fun life enrichment outing, shopping, or medical appointments—all outings give our residents more independence. This person must be a kind, helpful, and safe driver who gets our residents where they need to go, on time and with a smile!
This position will also assist with resident recreational activities. Experience with activities programming and working with the senior population required. Candidate must have strong computer skills and excellent driving record.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the community vehicle as assigned by supervisor
- Inspect the community vehicle prior to operation
- Help load and unload passengers in a safe and courteous manner
- Maintain daily vehicle record
- Arrange for the vehicle’s state inspection and annual registration renewal
- Report any vehicle malfunctions or concerns to supervisor immediately and make arrangements for repairs, as needed
- Ensure vehicle’s cleanliness inside and out
- Other tasks as requested by supervisor
Qualifications
- Possession of a valid, unrestricted commercial driver’s license (CDL)
- A safe driving record as outlined in the community’s official Van Driver job description
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
